This is an exceptional natural cathedral geode from Brazil. This piece features a highly polished face displaying intense vivid bands of light blues, dark blues, gray and white layers. The layers of the agate surround a hollow center that contains a large pocket of sparkly deep purple amethyst crystals. The sides, back and base of the cathedral have been painted with some degree of concrete/cement followed by paint. This is a customary process with most cathedral geodes from Brazil.
